Satellite Galleries

The Satellite gallery is a fun way to display beautiful art throughout the year. Artwork is introduced to a new audience in four different local businesses. This program has been very successful and began in 2016!

Currently, GPAC has four Satellite Gallery locations. This includes the Roland General Store, Carman’s MMJS Law Offices, Newman Hand Insurance, and Royal LePage. Each collection of artwork is displayed at each location for a period of four months before rotating, so new audiences can enjoy the artwork.

These pieces are available for purchase. Please contact GPAC for further details.

  • If these photographs have a mission, it is this: to stir up emotions from scenes of Canada and of places I’ve travelled.

I was born and raised in Carman, MB. In 2010 I moved to Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, approximately 200 miles north of the arctic circle. In 2019 I followed my heart and moved back to my prairie home.

My passion started in high school when my graphic arts teacher introduced me to photography.

My love of nature and the outdoors are deeply embedded in my soul and for me photography has the power to bring people into the moment I experience

  • As a writer, Margaret Riddell approaches painting as an opportunity to tell a story or provoke the imagination. Margaret’s favourite themes involve the use of perspective. Her paintings are characteristically bright and bold with careful attention to detail. Margaret has perfected a waxing process which protects watercolours and allows them to be displayed without glass and heavy framing. Margaret has always loved art and began painting on a whim after she retired. Other than a few basic lessons from local artists she is mostly self-taught and admits to not being a “purist”. She has been greatly inspired and encouraged by her sister, Diane Murison.
